Description
Transit Stop: CTA Tracker gives you quick and easy access to bus arrival time predictions for your favorite Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus stops. The application utilizes data provided by the CTA bus tracking system over your iDevice's WiFi or 3G network connection.
Features include:
● Universal App - Get bus arrival times on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
● Save Your Everday Bus Stops - Ability to look up any bus route and stop and save it for quick access while you're on the go.
● Estimated Bus Arrival Times - includes arrival time estimates in minutes (e.g. 4 minutes) and time (e.g. 12:14pm) along with the bus route and ID number, name, directions of travel, destination and the time stamp when the arrival times where last refreshed.
● Estimated Train Arrival Times - For convenience a link is provided to the CTA train tracker beta mobile site for getting train arrival predictions. Now you can get bus and train predictions without having to leave the app! Train tracker data will be fully integrated into Transit Stop once the CTA releases the final data to developers (currently in beta).
● Bus Location Map - In addition to the list of estimated arrival times you can view bus locations on a map.
● View Multiple Bus Routes - toggle the estimated arrival times to display only your selected bus route or you can view all the routes for the selected bus stop.
● Multi Tasking Support - if you close the app or switch between apps once you return to Transit Stop it automatically displays your last viewed bus stop.
● CTA Bus Tracking Data - bus routes, stops and estimated arrival times are all provided directly from the CTA bus tracking system giving you the most accurate data.
● Refresh - Arrival times can be manually refreshed by tapping the refresh button or, if enabled, by shaking your device. This gives you the flexibility to update the arrival times exactly when you need them.
● Simple User Interface - with only a couple of button taps you can quickly switch between saved stops.
